The Charlie Brown Foundation continues to strive to expand its programs and offerings to the youth and the community.
We hope that you will be able to take part in one or more of the many exciting events that we offer annually and experience firsthand the pride we take in supporting our cause.
Charlie Brown grew up in the Johns Island community of Charleston. He learned the value of hard work from his late mother, uncle and older brothers.
Charlie worked hard at a young age to excel in football going on to break records at St. John's High School and at South Carolina State University.
He went on to play for the National Football League (NFL) for seven years winning a Super Bowl with the Washington Redskins in 1983/1984.
He's a Two Time All Pro Wide Receiver, who just wants to give back to see that children across Charleston County and the Pee Dee get the opportunities that they may not otherwise be afforded.
It is our mission to give back and make a difference in the lives of young people on and off the field.
In order to meet our mission and provide services in our community, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support. Without the assistance of community-minded individuals and businesses just as yours, we wouldn't be able to serve those in our community each year. We ask that you make a commitment to support our annual appeal by making a donation.
Our goal is raise money to support our numerous programs and events, including football camps, bike giveaways and student achievement awards.
We hope that you will be able to make a contribution.
Your generosity will make a difference in our community by allowing us to continue in our work.
Our foundation is built on a level of compassion, integrity, and accountability. We are committed to using our resources in the most effective and efficient way possible. The common goal is to improve the lives of every person we touch, including students and athletes on all levels.
Our team is made up of dedicated professionals and volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in our communities. We work tirelessly to ensure that our programs and services are meeting the needs of those we serve.
We provide free football camps every year, present weekly awards to student athletes and giveaway free bikes to underprivileged children..
The Charlie Brown Foundation Annual Football Camp has been held at St. Johns High School in the John's Island community of Charleston County for the past 14 years.
We've worked with thousands of kids from ages 8-18 teaching them the fundamentals of football.
The camp features coaches from all levels, including high school, collegiate and professional.
The youngsters not only leave with a better sense of how the game is played, but with mentors for life.
The coaches form a bond with the campers that is irretrievable.
